Hi everyone, I could do with a little help/advise…

I’ve been trying for days to configure a VPN on my small linux based VPS, I searched all over the place and read / followed what feels like 100’s of guides but still cant get the thing to work correctly.

I must have rebuilt and switched the OS 20 times by now.

I’m running a small VPS (ubuntu atm) but can run almost any distro, and want to get PPTP installed so I can connect via VPN from my Macbook to the VPS (for traffic tunnelling due to line shaping here in the UK)

If anyone could help/point to a fall-proof guide etc I would be really grateful.

I am client of Burstnet, i have 4 VPS with this company.
one of they node is offline… For more than 10 hours and still offline.

They dont reply tickets, veportal is offline, vps doesnt works
after 2 hour

I am looking to obtain an affordable VPS server for my company. We are looking for a LAMP setup with cPanel and WHM. With specs somewhere in the range of"

10-20 GB Disk Space
256-512MB RAM
300-500GB Transfer
should only need minimal CPU
2 dedicated IPs

Something that is semi-managed would be prefered, we are an IT company but none of us are exactly Linux Guru’s so some help with any issues would be nice.

Good quality service and support is a must. I know thats asking for a lot right there and to make things worse: price wise we are looking to do this for as little as possible with room to upgrade as needed.

Please tell provide any recommendations you have or quotes if you are a VPS provider. We are looking to make the switch this weekend if we can find a good provider.

Another one was where a guy posted a review where he had a screenshot of the shell where he had ran commands, I wanted to try and run those linux commands on my machine but cant find the thread any more, have you noticed it anywhere? Or do you know what commands are usually used to show various vps server stats?

Hi, When I use Suexec my site is not responding very well.. Some times it load the site and sometimes it did not. There is also 1 time i get 500 internal error.

By the way I realize when my site able to load and there is a few visitors, there is no multiple processes created compare to when I disable suexec and this does help me to fix the high ram usage in VPS.

So anyone can help me fix this out? I was running wordpress and this is the list of my plugins

A few months ago, I wrote a really good review about virpus if you can find it. But their server uptime is getting bad to worst.

The first month uptime was 100% but after my good review about them, they went bad to worst. Past few days including today, I’m getting downtime for more than 6 hours. I’m glad that non of my clients contacted me about the downtime but the only thing they can tell me is Sorry and no other reason like Server downtime credits.

I hope that Ken could give a good explanation. I do not hesitate to move to other provider if this downtime persist. When I’m posting this thread, my server is down.

Any comment by any Virpus customer?
